StarKids — Privacy Policy

StarKids (the “App”) is developed and operated by Zohan Lin. We care deeply about the privacy of you and your children. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data.
1. Data we collect
The App collects very limited data:
- On-device data: Your child’s nickname, avatar, tasks, rewards, and star history. This data is stored on your device by default.
- Family sync (optional): If you enable family sync, this data is encrypted in transit and stored using Google Firebase so family members can stay in sync. We use Firebase anonymous authentication and do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identity information.
- Photo access (optional): Camera or photo library access is requested only when you choose a profile photo for your child. Photos remain stored on the device.
2. How data is used
Data is used only to:
- Provide core App features, including stars, tasks, and reward management.
- Sync data between family members.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or other third-party purposes.
3. Third-party services
The App uses:
- Google Firebase: Anonymous authentication and cloud database services for family sync only. Firebase Privacy

4. Children’s privacy
The App is designed for parents to manage their children’s daily routines. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Child-related data in the App, such as nicknames and avatars, is entered and managed by parents.
5. Data storage and security
- On-device data is stored on your iOS device and protected by the device passcode and encryption.
- Family sync data is encrypted in transit using TLS and stored by Firebase.
- We do not store user data on servers that we operate.
6. Data deletion
You can delete all data from Settings in the App at any time, or delete the App to remove on-device data. To request deletion of cloud sync data, contact us using the information below.
7. Policy changes
We will update this page if this policy changes. For material changes, we will notify users in the App.
